Albany, Piccadilly

Location: Piccadilly, London
W1 Sector: Heritage Residential

Description:
A sensitive renovation within the historic Albany apartments — one of London’s most prestigious addresses, renowned for its Grade I listed status and strict heritage requirements.

The Challenge
Working within a listed Georgian building meant every aspect of the project was subject to tight heritage controls, from materials and finishes to construction methods. Access was also restricted, with the property located deep within a network of corridors and courtyards, making logistics complex and time-sensitive.

Our Role
We acted as strategic advisors, aligning the project’s modern requirements with the building’s conservation obligations. This involved liaising closely with heritage officers, managing contractor selection, and developing a logistics plan that respected both the property’s architectural significance and its exclusive residential environment.

The Outcome
The project achieved a seamless blend of contemporary comfort and historic integrity, completed without delays or disputes. By navigating both heritage compliance and logistical challenges, we preserved the building’s character while delivering the client’s vision.
